HYGIENE, HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

It is important to inform all clients of some fundamental aspects that are carried out before, during and after massage sessions. The main risks to which the masseur and the recipients may be subject are infection by biological organisms (mycosis, bacteria, herpes, viruses, etc.), and specifically for masseurs repetitive efforts and postural problems, so it is recommended to pay attention to the requirements that must be met for the safe development of activities with regard to hygiene and safety, which are fundamentals.

WHEN THE MASSAGE IS MADE AT MY SPACE

  • The environment will be ventilated and clean
  • The massage bed is cleaned with antibacterial products and disinfectants that do not have chemicals that can lead to dermatitis and allergies (non-allergic disinfectants allowed by the EC)
  • The massage bed is always covered with disposable paper sheets
  • Before entering the space it will be made the measurement of recipient body’s temperature with non-contact thermometer that uses infrared technology
  • An air purifier will be left on during the entire time of the massage
  • Recipients will be required to leave their shoes outside in the shoe rack, or designated place to put their shoes, and put on slippers when entering the massage room
  • A face mask (if still required to be worn by issued DCPMs) must be worn at all times before lying in the massage bed. During the session, recipients may remove their mask as the operator will always wear his own
  • If requested by the clients, disposable underwear will be provided, but they may also use their own undergarments knowing that they may be soiled by the massage oil
  • The massage oil used is non-allergic cold pressed almond oil with very little odor-smell

WHEN THE MASSAGE IS PERFORMED TOWARDS THE CLIENTS’ SPACE

  • It asked to recipients to set a well-ventilated and clean room with space to allow masseur’s movements (+/- 10 m2)

  • A face mask (if still required to be worn by issued DCPMs) must be worn at all times before lying in the massage bed. During the session, recipients may remove their mask as the operator will always wear his own
  • If requested by the clients, disposable underwear will be provided, but they may also use their own undergarments knowing that they may be soiled by the massage oil

  • After the massage it is recommended to all clients to open the window and circulate the air inside for a few minutes
  • It will be instructed to the clients to throw the massage panties (when used) into the undifferentiated trash
